In April 2024, Seoul National University Dental Hospital and Seoul National University Gwanak Dental Hospital were accredited as the 29th ITI Scholarship Centers.

The ITI Scholarship Program offers opportunities for education and research in implantology through ITI Scholarship Centers at prestigious dental universities and hospitals worldwide, including the University of Basel and the University of Zurich in Switzerland, the University of Mainz and the University of Münster in Germany, and Harvard University in the United States. This program provides scholars with the opportunity to experience a variety of treatments within diverse cultural settings.

Recognized for world-class clinical skills and research achievements in implantology, Seoul National University Dental Hospital and Seoul National University Gwanak Dental Hospital have become the first ITI Scholarship Center in Korea. We plan to annually select outstanding scholars from around the world to undergo a structured educational program. The ITI Scholarship Program at Seoul National University Gwanak Dental Hospital will be led by specialists from three departments: Periodontology (Professors Yun-Jeong Kim and Jae-eun Chung), Prosthodontics (Professors Ung Gyu Kim and Yeon-hwa Baek), and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (Professors Ju Young Lee and Soung Min Kim).

Application for the ITI Scholarship Program opens June every year, with the final scholars selected through a rigorous evaluation process by the ITI headquarters in Switzerland.
